Privacy Policy

This policy explains what TradeAlliance collects, why, and who it is shared with. TradeAlliance is a sole proprietorship based in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

1. What we collect

• Account details — email address and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
• Profile details — name, company name, phone number, WhatsApp number, address and GST number where you provide them.
• Business content — product listings, enquiries, quotations and messages you send through the Platform.
• Usage data — which products you view and search for, used to improve results and to generate supplier leads (see section 3).
• Payment records — for supplier purchases we store the amount and the Razorpay payment reference. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials — those are handled entirely by Razorpay.

2. Why we collect it

• To run your account and show your listings or enquiries.
• To pass an enquiry to the supplier it was sent to.
• To process payments for plans, credits and boosts.
• To send service notifications, such as a new enquiry or a reply.
• To detect misuse, spam and fraud.

3. How your contact details are shared

This is the most important section for buyers, so it is set out plainly.

• If you send an enquiry to a supplier, that supplier can see your name, company, email and phone number. You contacted them, so they receive your details in order to reply. This is free for the supplier.
• If you only browse a supplier's products while logged in, that supplier may see that an interested buyer viewed their listings. Your contact details stay hidden unless the supplier spends lead credits to reveal them.
• If you post a public requirement on the procurement board, suppliers may spend lead credits to reveal your contact details so they can quote.
• Your details are shared with suppliers on this Platform only. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third-party data brokers.

If you would rather not be discoverable as a lead, do not browse while logged in, or email us to have your viewing history removed.

4. Who else sees your data

• Razorpay — our payment provider, for supplier payments. Their own privacy policy applies to the payment data they handle.
• Hosting and email providers — to run the site and deliver notifications.
• Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Payment pages are served over an encrypted connection and card details never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, accounting or dispute purposes.

7. Your choices

• You can view and edit your profile details at any time from your account.
• You can ask us to delete your account by email. Note that we may keep payment records where the law requires it.
• You can turn off browser notifications from your browser settings.

One limitation worth stating honestly: once a supplier has already received your contact details — because you enquired, or because they unlocked your details — we cannot retrieve that information back from them.

8. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember items you compare, and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Blocking cookies will prevent login from working.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.
